World Men’s Curling Championship 2023 is set to take place in Ottawa, Canada, from Saturday, April 1, 2023, to Sunday, April 9, 2023, at TD Center. Ottawa is hosting the World Curling Championship for the first time. Canada previously hosted the Curling tournament in 2021 in Calgary.

2023 World Men’s Curling Championship Preview

Teams first and second will receive byes to the semi-finals, while the remaining four teams will play against each other in the qualification games. In the qualification games, the third-ranked side will compete against the sixth-ranked team, while the fourth-ranked side will play against a fifth-ranked team, with winners of these games advancing to the semi-finals. The round-robin will go from April 1 to April 7, while the playoffs will be played on April 8.

Regarding teams, Sweden’s side, led by Olympic Champion Edin, will be defending their title, having won the previous four editions of the competition. Meanwhile, the winner of the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada, will be looking to win the event for the first time since 2017

Moreover, a year after winning a world bronze medal in Las Vegas last year, Joel Retornaz’s Italian side will also come stronger in the curling championship this time.
